In 2006. I started up the Gold Paw Awards for Journals and blogs at the bravenet community and had a great response with many great journals being entered for the competition. I have again continued to offer these awards for the year 2007 and hopefully beyond. Most know how it works, but for those that do not:

The criteria/guidelines for winning an award is pretty simple. You must be nominated by another individual within the blogging community. There is then a voting process from community members, and winners are announced and awarded at the end of each month.

The submitted journals must be of an inspirational value, offering insights and visual aids in the realm of life here on earth. These journals must reflect nature and lifes mysteries as we see, and have come to know them. They must show our precious and natural resources, and have some form of explination to them. I think its time we see some of this countries best, mountains, wildlife, waterways, buildings, etc, and share some experiences as we go.
I would like to award such journals for the exposure of these wonders we have here on earth, and to thank those for sharing their views of such beauty..
Begining the 20th of March, You may submit the journals of your choice, please include, name and URL of said journal, as well as a brief explination as to why you have nominated that journal .
I will list the top 5 nominations and you will have to submit your votes, and choose a winner.
I will announce the winners of the Gold Paw Awards the last Friday of each month.
So, if you know of an inspiring journal that meets the above criteria, why not submit them for an award...you never know when you may appear on the nominee list..Best of luck to you all...
I hope to again make this an exciting competition, last year there were some great journals in the running..
